Skyline, jets and cider: from Frankfurt to Mörfelden
The bikes areready in Frankfurt — at the foot of the Westhafentower. We cross the Main on the “Eisernen Steg”. From Sachsenhausener Ufer, Frankfurt's skyline is particularly beautiful. Participants will be amazed at how fascinating and entertaining the story of the most outstanding
“skyscrapers” is!The cycle route initially follows the banks of the Main. Here you can cycle in a very relaxed way. In Niederrad, we take a look at the horse racing track. The first stage (10 km) ends at an idyllic lake in the middle of the city forest. If you wish, we welcome participants here with a refreshing drink break and snacks.
On the second stage (9 km), cyclists are once again surrounded by leafy forest and birdsong. Another drink break with snacks is possible in Zeppelinheim. If you want, you can visit the Zeppelin Museum afterwards. We take a break at the airlift memorial on the edge of the airfield. There we stand right on the edge of the runway and let the jets sweep over us. The third stage (13 km) leads through a relaxing forest and meadow landscape. There is both a cozy beer garden and a grill hut with the opportunity to picnic — an interesting alternative if you want to miss out on the “golden apple” in Mörfelden. Passing the Alter Torfstich, the bike tour continues to the Mönchbruch hunting lodge. Hesse's largest population of fallow deer romps around on a meadow area. The bike tour ends in front of the historic “Goldener Apfel” tavern in Mörfelden. A good living room with excellent Ebbelwoi! We are also happy to reserve lunch or dinner for you here.
If you prefer a slightly shorter bike route, the trip to the lake in the city forest could be skipped. In this case, the entire cycle route would be 28 km.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
