With our knowledgeable mining guide, we'll go to more remote regions of the iron ore mine, which cannot be seen on the 1-hour mine tour. From the 150-meter sole, which you reach with a conveyor basket, the path leads down to below the 100-meter sole into the so-called “magnetite warehouse” and from there via rides (ladders) onto the 100-meter floor.
The excursion only leads into old and unilluminated mining areas equipped with a headlamp. In a maze of tunnels and tracks, dark shafts are passed and in some places crystal-clear water bubbles out of crevices in the ore. Anyone who took part in this tour knows what life as a miner meant in earlier times.
This tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Depending on the number of participants and special interests, it can last shorter or longer
.The entrance fee includes a tour of the so-called day facilities: mining museum with the chewing in the mining house and the machine house with the powerful conveyor on the upper mining site.

PS: As a non-profit, non-profit association, we are the owners of the Fortuna mine, a real mine for visitors. Compared to other museum facilities, we have very high operating costs (4 employees work for 1 visitor, and cable car travel under mountain supervision requires a great deal of technical and testing effort) and are only supported by the public sector with a fixed amount that is far from covering expenditure. We live on proceeds from tickets, the museum shop and donations and create the black zero with lots of volunteer work. We now hope to be able to preserve the mine as a living monument of industrial culture and mining history despite all sales losses in recent years, and look forward to your visit
